What it does

Reads your instrument

IGC, GPX, KML and FIT. Uses barometric altitude where your vario recorded it, so height is right.

Films itself

It reads where you climbed and where you pushed on glide, and cuts a shot list to match — orbiting your best thermal, running wide over the longest transition.

Spends time where it matters

Thermals play near real time, glides compress. Two hours becomes ninety watchable seconds.

Shows the climb

The trail is coloured by climb rate — blue sinking, orange lifting — so a glance tells you where the day worked.

Exports properly

1080p, 4K, or vertical for Instagram. Frames are rendered one at a time, so the file is identical however long your machine takes.

Works offline

Save a flight's map area to disk and the whole thing renders and exports with the network off.

Browser

Nothing to install and nothing to get past — open the link and load a flight. Everything still runs on your own machine; nothing is uploaded.

Desktop app

Opens .igc files straight from Finder or Explorer, keeps a bigger offline map cache, and handles 4K exports more comfortably.

No account, no sign-up, no trial. Everything runs on your own computer and nothing about your flights is uploaded anywhere. If enough pilots find it useful there may be a paid version later — this one will keep working.

First launch

These builds aren't code-signed yet — signing certificates cost a few hundred a year and that only makes sense once pilots have said they want this. Your system will ask once. Here's how to get past it.

macOS
  1. Open the .dmg and drag SkyReplay to Applications.
  2. Right-click the app and choose Open.
  3. Confirm Open in the dialog. Only needed the first time.

Double-clicking it the first time will refuse — use right-click → Open.

Windows
  1. Run the installer.
  2. SmartScreen will warn you. Click More info, then Run anyway.
Linux
  1. AppImage: chmod +x SkyReplay-*.AppImage and run it.
  2. Debian/Ubuntu: sudo dpkg -i skyreplay_*.deb
